I don't eat dairy. But when I decide to break my rule, I do it with pizza from Athena. So. Good. My mom and I have been coming here sporadically for probably 10+ years, and the place never really changes (which is mostly a good thing). We always order a medium pepperoni pizza, french fries and iced tea. Their pizza is one of my favorite pizzas of all time. It has the best crust, and the perfect crust-cheese-pepperoni ratio. We eat it all, and pretty much never have any pizza to bring home with us. Their french fries are a generous portion, and crispy. Their iced tea is delicious as well. The food isn't too expensive (I think about $17 last time for a 1-topping pizza, french fries and 2 iced teas). It's never too crowded in the dining room, but is occasionally hit by a bunch of kids (a ballet school is in the same shopping center). Parking is easy. Their service is normally decent. I haven't eaten anything else besides pizza and fries from here in a long time, so I can't really comment. The dining room isn't fancy, but it is what it is. Overall, it's definitely my favorite pizza place in the area!

The crust is soft and spongy (in a good way) and the cheese is among the best around. They put large pepperoni slices on their pie rather than the usual topping style pepperonis, but their sauce is solid and if you get extra cheese and pepperoni on your pie, you'll be looking at a sandwich like quality to your pizza slice. Very good.

Great cheese steaks. Very good pizza. The Italian eggplant dinner will feed three (it's good, but nothing special. Mostly huge.) But never, EVER, order the iced tea. It's our "go to" place. And they deliver quickly. The food is SO much better than the Pepper Mill down the street. It's just too bad that Athena doesn't have the atmosphere of Pepper Mill. Athena has outdated, strip mall decor. They could do so much better! But the food is good, so we go anyway (but we'd probably go more often if it was a more pleasant place to eat.)

Food was decent. Took awhile for the waitress to take our order even though there was only 1 other table in the place.

If they paid me more I would have lunch here everyday, but I've got to brown bag and its a shame.

We love Athena. We just do. It's a pizza place with a big menu. Can eat in (not even tacky) Good (not great) pizza, great sandwiches, great stromboli. Skip: fried chicken, wings. Fries are questionable. Get: Athena Grilled Chicken Grinder; Steak Stromboli Not too expensive. Delivers. They say We Deliver - HOT! And they do. Never cold. Never messed up an order, even though sometimes the high school girls who answer the phone need it repeated a few times. Closed Sundays.

Absolutely horrible service. Totally unorganized. Lots of guys cooking. One girl working the register, waiting tables and taking phone orders. Good was good but will not be back again. Was here once a couple weeks ago, same crappy service not to mention they forgot orders. Came back to give them second chance. Won't be a third visit. See the " Not Recommended" posts. Most are spot on target

I may be a tad biased, as I was one of their delivery boys back in ~97-98, but Athena Pizza is one of the gems of West Chester. On the upper end of pizza places in the area, with all the standard menu items, but I keep going back for the Greek salad! I am married to a Greek girl, I cook and LOVE Greek food, and I worked at a Greek restaurant in high school. As such, I have been to nearly every Greek restaurant within ~20miles. We even had our rehearsal dinner at Estia in Philly! Athena Pizza has, by far IMO, the best Greek salad in (possibly) all of Chester County. The amount of high quality feta they slap on top is borderline ludicrous. And PLEASE keep it up! It's one of the main things that keeps me coming in for coming up on two decades. In fact, ONE TIME I picked up a Greek salad from Athena that had ~60% of the feta they typically use, which is still about double what most restaurants give the customers, and I was traumatized. tl;dr - you must have to have Athena's Greek salad

If I'd written this about 2 months ago, they would have easily been 5 stars. When they do it right, this is the best pizza in the area. My roommates and I order from here almost religiously once a week, but we have decided to take a few weeks off to try other places, due to the decline in quality. Very Hit or Miss. When it is a hit the food is great and the delivery is fast. When it is a miss, they really miss. The last couple of times we have ordered, the pies have been done incredibly poorly. Way too much sauce, with the toppings not distributed well and a lack of cheese. We always order Sicilian, and the last few times almost a quarter of the slices may as well have been a tomato pie order. Hope they get it together so we go back to ordering from them.

A good alternative for nearby Pepper Mill, although note that the cheesesteaks aren't as good as there. But the service is always nice and it's a little more comfortable to relax here. The key differentiators with this place is that they have Greek dishes like gyros and Greek style pizzas. They're both not bad either. They also take credit cards which Pepper Mill doesn't if that's a deterrent.

I have to give a big shout-out to Athena Pizza. I was in charge of a 3 day meeting event for work and decided to use Athena as our lunch provider for about 8-10 staff member during those days. I used GrubHub.com to order (amazing) and Athena did the rest. The orders were perfect and on time everyday. Their food is quality and priced well. Salads are fresh and huge. Sandwiches and pizza are great too. They remembered every detail on 3 pretty large orders. Theo, the delivery driver deserves a lot of credit. He offered to carry my delivery into the building everyday. He's polite, organized, and seems to take pride in his work. I highly recommend Athena for individuals or groups! Great food, great service!

I've never stepped foot into Athena Pizza, but I have ordered from them via Grub Hub. The delivery was quick (even in the post-blizzard weather), courteous, and they followed the directions I gave exactly (didn't want the delivery guy walking up icy steps). As for the food, it's standard delivery pizza. I did enjoy the crust a lot - I'm not a fan of thin crust - so the soft, thick crust was great. I also had the wings, but I didn't really enjoy them as they seemed a little overcooked, and wouldn't recommend getting them here. Didn't have anything else, but I'm down to try, whenever late night pizza delivery cravings kick in.

I got takeout here everything was great only thing was the girl in the phone who answered she was extremely awkward and strange on the phone I really don't think she should be on the phone with customers and she really wasn't set on my order it sounded like she didn't get anything I said and didn't know the menu, I was hoping I got everything I needed.

Honest company, made a mistake with the order and admitted without issue. Offered to send new order which we did not take but did get it refunded. When through GrubHub which we will not do again, we will call Athena directly from now on. My chicken parm grinder was delicious and we also like their pizza.

Athena used to be our number one pick for pizza. No more. It is inconsistent and we have had multiple orders delivered that were wrong, not what we ordered, mission paid for items and just poor food. They used to be amazing about four years ago, but now they are hit or miss...depends who is in the kitchen, who is answering the phone. And oh most importantly the place seems to be run by brothers and one of them is so incredibly rude he should have been on Sienfeld. After two orders in a row were so terrible what was delivered literally was inedible and we called we got the jerk brother/owner who basically did not care at all. He had put money and so what. If they closed we wouldn't miss them at this point.

We had ordered pick up from there about 2 months ago- when we got home pizza was wrong. We called to let them know- we were offered replacements- but I did not feel like waiting and going back- so the manager (?) offered a free med cheese pizza the next time we ordered pizza. I called this evening to order along with other things and mentioned my credit for a free med cheese pizza- the owner got on the phone yelling at me- then laughing a "few months ago- and now you want a free pizza" and said if I was given credit last week he would honor it. He would give me $3.50 off my order- but NOT FREE pizza. Needless to say I will never order from there again- how dare he yell at me the way he did. YES I wanted my free medium pizza I was promised for their mistake and my inconvenience- YES a whole credit of $8., my fault for thinking they would correct their wrong

I stopped in here on a Friday at lunchtime with my two-year-old daughter to get a slice of pizza. Apparently this pizza place does not sell slices during lunchtime, only full pizza's so we had to sit in the dining area and place an order. The restaurant was about 25% full. There was one waitress working the room. She was very friendly but forgot two out of the three requests I had during the meal. One was asking for a cup so my daughter didn't have to drink out of a 20 ounce bottle and the second was for our check, while we were waiting for the check I could see and hear the waitress laughing it up behind the line and then she totally forgot to bring the check and had to be reminded again. As anyone with a two-year-old knows Time is of the essence , after hearing "can we leave daddy" eight times, the waitress finally showed up with the check and then told me to pay up front. I guess I could have gone up there the whole time we were waiting if I had known that. The pizza was pretty good and the crust was pretty delicious. Other than that it was a typical Greek style pizza place in a strip mall. Don't expect to stop in and grab a quick slice because it's not happening.

The pizza here ranges. The cheese pizza is above average, but I must say I have had better; although their specialty pizzas are pretty rocking. For an office event, we ordered some Veggie specials and their Barbecue chicken, both were huge hits, we also ordered some plain cheese, and it was above average, but not spectacular like the speciality pizzas. The service at Athena's though is wonderful. I placed my order at the last minute, needed 12 pizzas delivered, and needed them fast. Athena's was VERY helpful. They were patient on the phone taking my order, made suggestions on amounts; given I was looking to feed 30+ people; and the order was delivered very quickly. All in all it was a great experience and I will definitely order from them again.

I always eat here every time I'm in the area. They have Greek style pizza, which is delicious. The cheesesteaks are also great. I highly recommend coming here.

We order takeout a couple times/week. Athena is fairly new to us but has been a solid addition to the rotation. The cheesesteaks & strombolis are fantastic. Other eateries such as Pepper Mill have become so complacent its frustrating! I've been a Pepper Mill customer for over 15 years. They get worse every year. Athena will accept credit cards and will deliver from further away in half the time. I appreciate that Athena appreciates my business. Pepper Mill could care less.

We tried Athena Pizza after reading some reviews. We ordered a large for pick up. The first thing I noticed it that it is a thicker crust pizza than most places. While I was eating I knew it tasted like another crust I've had before. The crust is very similar to pizza huts. It's a greasy pie. If you like Pizza Hut you will like Athenas pizza. The sauces was really good but I think I'll stick with other pizza places for a less greasy pizza.

Great pizza, huge hoagies with generous portions of meats. We have ordered from here 4 weeks in a row for our contractors that are working on our home

I've been coming to Athena's for almost 20 years now. Friendly family run business with great food. May be a little dated but I recommend looking past it and enjoy a pizza or cheesesteak. You won't regret it.
